Deluxe Top to Bottom Deep Clean

Maintenance Cleaning starts with a deluxe top to bottom deep clean. An successful maintenance cleaning wins over clients and makes it easier when you start maintenance cleans!

Deluxe Deep Clean

As you previously learned, the PMC system emphasis is on MAINTENANCE. During your maintenance cleanings you really only need to clean what has accumulated since your last visit.

With a deluxe deep clean, you have to assume every surface is dirty, and has been for some time. Rather than recently settled dust, you may be dealing with more tenacious dust and grime that can’t easily be swept away with a duster. You WILL be wiping/wet dusting much more in a deluxe deep clean than in a PMC. What you clean in a deep clean is almost the exact same as what you clean during a maintenance clean, however, HOW you clean it will differ. You will be putting in more effort, more scrubbing and wiping.

Deluxe deep cleans are the foundation for your maintenance cleanings. You are creating a clean slate to which you will perform on-going maintenance cleanings.

REMEMBER!!

  • Work Top to Bottom
  • Left to Right
  • Back to Front

You will clean in sections top to bottom working around the room left to right.

Let's Get to Cleaning!

There are a few differences in what and how you clean that should be noted.

Cabinets

Wipe down ALL cabinet fronts & handles. Use your high duster to remove dust & cobwebs from the tops of upper cabinets

Doors

  • Wipe down door jams.
  • Wipe down door inserts

*Pro Tip: Magic Eraser works great on white molding

Bathroom

Humidity and product create a grimy mess on most bathroom surfaces. To make your next PMC easier, be sure to ALWAYS wipe down the following to remove this residue.

  • Doors
  • Light fixtures you can reach standing on the floor
  • Towel fixtures
  • Cabinet fronts and handles
  • Baseboards

Showers/Bathtubs

Get Aggressive with soap scum

Use Bar Keeper's Friend on tough soap scum. Apply liberally to shower/tub walls & fixtures. Allow the cleaner to soak for about 30 seconds before scrubbing with your magic eraser or dobie

*Pro Tip-some bathtubs/shower bottoms have a film around the bottom due to dirt, bath bombs, soaps, etc..  Magic Erasers are key in removing this.  Wet the eraser with water and scrub removing the black residue.  Tile brush can be an asset when scrubbing grout.

High Dusting

Use your high duster to dust

  • the far corners to remove cobwebs
  • the tops of cabinets
  • hanging light fixtures & can lights
  • ceiling fans
  • spider webs in popcorn ceilings
  • vents

*Pro Tip: Always do your high dusting first since dust falls downward.

Base Boards

You must use your cleaning cloth and/or magic eraser to clean all accessible baseboards in the home.
